Architectural tendencies
High rise structures are not uncommon anymore anywhere in the world. The taller you build, the more magnificent a city becomes. I can't imagine the earth 20 years from now blooming with sky-rocketing buildings like mushrooms during the rainy seasons, bak kata pepatah, ibarat cendawan tumbuh mase hujan..Posted by Izzat 0 Opinion(s)

Try spotting the monks!
My mind is full of splendid memories of Cambodia which I can revive and look at whereever I want. I love those sunsets, gold and purple and orange, spreading across the sky at evening, and the monkeys and chickens and dogs on the misty floor of villages sitting on the pale grassy banks of the great moat, the water dark, stagnant, and glossy, with all the lotus of Angkor floating about. Plus the temples, tuk-tuks, and ta prom and the rest, there were plenty of those, and above all, the monks, still vivid, orange and wonderful, full of life.Posted by Izzat 3 Opinion(s)

I believe that Dubai is confused of itself..
From my viewing of Dubai, it is a fast growing city without ending. Dubai has successfully captured the attention of the world but it needs to be more humble. Too many sky rocketting buildings might bring false impression on what actually is the purpose of Dubai. I think that if Dubai had not rushed to rapid growth, the city would have been better now. Forget about the craziest structure on earth. Why not make it the center for intellectual gathering. What do you think of Dubai?
